What is your vision for the AARC?: For the AARC to be a space that emanates joy and uplifts APIDA celebration. For the AARC to be a space that stands in solidarity with other communities of color and always works to build upon its shortcomings. For the AARC to be a physical space where APIDA students feel welcomed and comfortable and at home. For the AARC to get back up on its feet and continue growing after the year whisked away in the virtual world.
What is on your on-campus bucket list?: I am dropping hints that I want my friends to throw me a “surprise” half-birthday party. I spent two birthdays in quarantine; you best bet I want my lost time back😎
What is your most obscure interest/hobby?: Collecting colognes, color theory as it pertains to dyeing hair, mamma mia!

What is your vision for the AARC?: As an AARC Intern, I hope to engage in meaningful conversations about intersectional identities and collaborate more with affinity groups on campus, in particular the FLI community. As a PPA Psych major passionate about AAPI mental health, I also want to work primarily on providing a safe space to discuss mental health issues and creating stronger networks for accessing resources on campus. I firmly believe in the importance of more conversations about mental health and AAPI relationships with stigma, and I hope to work alongside faculty and Monsour to promote community healing.

What is your vision for the AARC?: My vision for the AARC is for it to be a community of care where APIDA-identifying students feel supported and valued. I think this is done through recognition and uplifting non-East Asian APIDA identities, as well as uplifting marginalized identities such as being FLI and/or queer. I also think solidarity and community with other BIPOC communities on and off campus is important to imagine a world of collective liberation from white supremacy, capitalism, colonialism, and cisheteropatriarchy.
