Queer People of Color Social & Dis/Orient/ed – Sat. Oct. 6

Saturday, 6 October, 2012, 5:00-7:00pm
SOCA Lounge, Pomona College, Claremont, CA

This Saturday, the AARC’s Queer & Asian/Pacific Islander Committee is working with the Claremont Colleges’ QPOC club to hold a Queer People of Color Social. There will be free food, games, and plenty of opportunities to meet new friends. The dinner served will include vegetarian options, and allies are always welcome.

The Q&A committee aims to create safe and supportive spaces for queer, trans, and questioning API students at the Claremont Colleges by holding events such as this social. The committee also hopes to raise awareness about issues that sit at the intersection between race, gender, and sexuality by organizing various events that will stimulate discussion and inspire action.

Join us after the QPOC Social at the Dis/Orient/ed Female Comedy night at Dom’s Lounge, Smith Campus Center, 7pm.
