Q &A speaker series
As part of Asian American Studies 179C Queering Asian America course, at Harvey
Mudd College, we are fortunate to have a series of guest speakers to expand on
material investigated by the class course. We would like to share this opportunity to
engage with Queer Asian American activists, scholars, artists, and cultural producers
with the 5C community. The speakers will speak from their experience about the
historical struggles, artistic expression, community activism and contemporary issues of
the Queer, Lesbian, Gay Bisexual API community. The speakers series will be on
Fridays 1:15-2:15 in Linde Activities Center, upstairs in the Riggs room. Please enter
through the side door on the west side of the building.

API Equality Panel: Executive Director Eileen Ma and members of API Equality
roundtable discuss Contemporary Asian Pacific Islander LGBTQ issues such as
immigration, marriage equality. Queer APi’s on the forefront of major issues such as
Marriage Equality, Don Ask Don’t Tell, Healthcare Access, Immigration, undocumented
Queer API’s, bi-national couples, Workplace rights, and more.
Note this panel will be in Pitzer College’s Broad Performance Space
